Dear Proff. Anderson,

Thank you very much for your nice response.

As you might know, the main challenge in implementation the stove is the
stove material. In this time, the stove is made from 'reject plate
material', commonly used for kerosene stove, but the thickness of plate is
a bit larger. Otherwise, it is almost impossible to sell the stove below
US$ 10,-/each. Most of our targeted users in Indonesia can not pay for
stove price higher than US$ 10,-

Consequently, users must take care when operate the stove, they have to
avoid over-heating, i.e. when wood changes to charcoal. They have also to
avoid contact between water and the stove. When the stove is used
according the manual procedures, it can last up to one year or even more,
otherwise, it depends on how the users handle the stoves, sometime the
stove can last more than 6 months, sometime less.

About the fuel. We currently use stick wood/twigs with length 17 cm for
our household stove type, and 30 cm restaurant (jumbo) type stove. Small
pieces are placed on the top only to facilitate the initial combustion.
When fuel is compactly arranged in the burning tube, we will see no smoke.
With about 1 kg fuels, house hold type can deliver flame up to 1.5 hours.
The jumbo type, on the other hand, with 3 kg fuels, can burn up to 2.5
hours (for flame) and additional 1.5 hour for charcoal. The power of jumbo
type is clearly higher than the house hold type. To boil 15 L water needs
40 minutes.

We currently have sold the UB-03 type, more than 6000 units. Totally with
UB-02, probably it counts more than 8500. User are usually satisfied with
our stoves, after they know the correct procedures in using the stove.
Beginner users usually make mistakes in using the stove and we provide the
free-consultation for it.
The most complaint usually deals with the life time of the stoves.
Subsidiaries are therefore very important in order we can improve the
stove quality. Are there international funding?

Best regards
M. Nurhuda
