The United States Agency for International Development and Winrock
International are soliciting Expressions of Interest ("EOIs") in support of
a possible 18-month, $1 million USD (maximum) grant award (or awards).  The
purpose of the award(s) would be to strengthen the private sector
distribution of fuel-efficient biomass cookstoves in Kenya. This is not a
request for applications for grant funding.  Rather, the role of this
announcement is to share the draft program description in order to: (i)
Gather feedback from potential stakeholders about the proposed parameters of
the possible grant competition; and (ii) Identify potential applicants
interested in developing proposals for future RFAs in this technical field
and geographic area. Submitting an EOI is not a pre-requisite for responding
to an eventual RFA nor will it confer any advantage. 

 

If you are interested in this program description and the possible funding
opportunity, please submit to Winrock a brief EOI following the submission
instructions in Section 3 of the detailed program description document
available at the following link

January 11, 2013.  We encourage you to provide constructive comments
regarding the draft program description, whether or not you intend to
