I think some better understanding of the fundamentals of TLUDs makes them simpler and more attractive.

Since there is already a multi reactor one Chimney solution, how hard can that be?

Of course, it is possible to engineer much more sophisticated continuous feed solutions, see the work of Jerry Whitfield, but the costs shoot way up.
