[Stoves] Three traditional Indonesian charcoal stoves

They have different holes because the producers are probably different. There is likely no ‘real reason’ they are different. The one with the holes most concentrated in the centre will performance the best – provided the combustion chamber has a bowl-shaped bottom.

 

They are all charcoal stoves. It is just that the hotel put an alcohol tin under each one to keep food warm.

 

There are many tiny stoves used for tea making. In fact most people have 4 or 5 stoves of different sizes. The smallest one I saw was about the size of a coffee cup. All the little ones are charcoal burning. Charcoal is a tiny portion of the fuel supply, however.

Thank you sharing these - do they also use charcoal in these stoves or mostly just alcohol?
