Dear Dean, Eric, Kathie and all:

The original WoodGas stove was designed for campers, and was 5" in diameter. We sold it for $55.

I believe that the 6 1/2" diameter X 7" gallon paint can, containing a 4" diameter quart paint can is more appropriate and stable for kitchen use. (Also widely available.)

Note the slide air control for adjusting heat/air level.

The quart paint can is held to the lid of the gallon can by "teeth" in the gallon can lid. RTV can be used for sealing the two together, if the fit isn't close enough.

The 1.5/3 Volt Fan is mounted on ears below the quart can. A battery lasts ~ 100 hours, and makes a BIG difference in the heat output (4kW) and flame cleanliness.

I made the 3 blade propeller by cutting fro aluminum and RTVing to the motor shaft. It seems to work well.

If you visit Wodgas Stove Pics on the we'd you will see a lot of our stoves and lots of copies.

Kathie: do you have any other facts or suggestions? How many stoves do you think we sold? For how many years? I think we had some manufactured in India, some in Mexico? What are your memories on this?
